Brush with Weather Fame

mishalakWhen I pulled into the Colorado Mills parking lot today I noticed a big Ford van with the license plate STRMCHR (as I remember) and this interesting antenna package on the roof. I was curious so I walked right over and asked what was up. Turned out it was Roger Hill, professional storm chaser, who I have actually seen before on NOVA: Hunt for the Supertwister. He was using the WiFi hotspot to upload footage of fall color in Colorado for the Weather Channel to use. He mentioned that he also chases Hurricanes with tourists so this has been a busy year for him. Interesting to meet him, though only briefly.
