Imagine My Laughter

I received a package today, FedEx. It was addressed to:

Mr Matthew Mishalak
World Science Fiction Society (!!!)

Inside was a box with bunches of convention center stuff inviting the World Science Fiction Society to have its next meeting in the new expanded Colordo Convention Center. Oh no! Someone in the mayors office thinks I'm crazy enough to bid for Worldcon. (Yes, I'm very ammused and laughing about all this.)

Update:

I just checked the regular post. I've got annother letter to the Denver Area Science Fiction Association and the World Science Fiction Society with similar information. I'm in real trouble now. <laugh>

Don't worry, we are trying to get you to chair it, but think of it this way: after chairing a worldcon, you'ld be much more likely to win TAFF.
