I suspect, but do not know, that it will not come to the United Kingdom. It is a social network like facebook with the idea of getting to know actual neighbors rather than people spread out across half the world. I read about it in the New York Times about the time I started getting email requests for me to join and postcards. In the New York Times article the founder spoke of spending lots of money on the geographical information and I suspect that with the EU laws on privacy they would not be able to so easily do so in your country.
