Science Fiction Author Doris Lessing Wins Nobel Prize

This is a day that I never thought I would see. A day when an author whom I have not only heard of, but is in my too read pile (one of her books, Shikasta), has won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Doris Lessing has won. Wow. She does not write science fiction exclusively, but unlike many literary writers when she does she admits it without shame. A neat woman and a very interesting event.
