mishalak: A fantasy version of myself drawn by Sue Mason (Thoughtful)
It bothered me the night before last when I could not come up with a suitable name for people who think the thing they promote is a panacea for all problems and ought to be applied everywhere. So I ate a dictionary and found 'procrustean' from that legend about the innkeeper who had a bed where he'd stretch people out or chop off a bit of the legs to make them fit in the bed. Definition, "marked by arbitrary often ruthless disregard of individual differences or special circumstances". The only trouble with calling them procrustean evangelists is that almost no one will know what it means. Plus it has that funky from the Greek pronunciation.

So not perfect, but I intend to use this world more often. And "propinquity" as well. It means nearness in place, time, or kinship.
