Not Perfect, but Okay
Apr. 21st, 2005 04:33 amConnecticut has enacted a law to allow homosexual civil unions. It is, from all indications, equal except for what it is called. Though the law also makes it so marriage is only between a man and a woman this is a success. This is the first time when a state has enacted civil unions without being under the threat of a court order. I personally would prefer that it be equal all one way or all the other, with everyone having civil unions or everyone having marriage, but this will do for now until the people of Connecticut come around to that.
