Not Perfect, but Okay

Connecticut has enacted a law to allow homosexual civil unions. It is, from all indications, equal except for what it is called. Though the law also makes it so marriage is only between a man and a woman this is a success. This is the first time when a state has enacted civil unions without being under the threat of a court order. I personally would prefer that it be equal all one way or all the other, with everyone having civil unions or everyone having marriage, but this will do for now until the people of Connecticut come around to that.

Edna Mode and Syndrome

Syndrome whined again, "Oh come on Edna, you're the greatest. I need you to make me a suit and I'm sure you can use the money.."

Edna Mode immediately snapped at him, "Money, HA! I do not work for money, I create works of art. You must be a work of art."

"But I'm a genius and I'm going to be a hero. I'm going to find the moment that will bring it back and I'll need a suit. Pleeeze Edna."

"No!"

"Pleeeaze!"

"NO!"

"I'll double your normal fee. Please, oh pleaze, pleeeazze."

"Oh right, all right. Stop whining, I will design you a suit. It will be simple, bold, and for you .. a cape." She said the last word with a peculiar note in her voice that in his excitement Syndrome completely missed.

Experiment 226: Olive Honey Cookies

The experiment, to see if I could combine two flavors which I am lovink into a cookie: olive oil and honey. Initial results were soft and fluffy, but not sweet enough. So I increased the amount of honey slightly. The results are good, but not yet perfect.

¼ Cup Olive Oil
⅓ Cup Honey, scant. (halfway betwen the ⅓ and the ¼ mark)
½ Cup and 1 Tablespoon Unbleached White Flour plus
⅛ teaspoon baking soda.

Bake 20 minutes in a glass pan at 175°C (350°F). This produces a fairly flat cookie like a snikerdoodle. My next attempt will be using a tablespoon more flour to see if it firms the cookie up without making it too floury. If too floury I shall increase the amount of honey to a full ⅓ cup as it clearly has enough oil from the way the dough leaks. Experiment results so far have been tasty, though not perfect.

All and all the results when I didn't specify a region (other than not the south) were more amusing but the ones I got when I picked either Pacific, Mountain, or North East were more useful.
