Oh Yeah, I'm Out There

Not too long ago I was complaining about the lack of openings for men who didn't want to die heroically to be starship captains. I think it would be great fun to be captain a starship, meet exotic men, abuse a position of trust, and see some of this galaxy. Then zibblsnrt suggested, "You can command the other, evil starships. Take charge of the Machiavelli or the Alcibiades and go raise havoc!

What a great idea!
Opening sequence: Good captain postures on the view screen of his ship against the evil general. Evil general postures back and fails to notice that the sneaky cowards from the U.S.S. Alcibiades are sabotaging his ship in the crawlspace under his command deck before beaming away to safety.

"These are the voyages of the starship Alcibiades, its five year mission to sabotage conquering empires, seek out nefarious plots and evil organizations, to cravenly go where no one has sneaked before!"

So who's with me?

Totally! Boy this will be the spiffiest ship in the entire galaxy. We'll cook, prance about in clothes, and do just enough sabotage of the enemy to keep us on the payroll.

(Not the Official Spy, you understand, who dresses in black and looks magnificently sneaky standing behind the captain's chair. The Unofficial Spy has a job title like Janitor or Waste Technician and a gormless smile.)
