It's a money problem. They don't have much and there is not a strong prospect of good income in the near future, so a storage unit seems like a bad idea. It isn't a question of having no money, but trying to save every penny that can be saved.

They often have a good intro rate, but the average seems to be $1/foot or $200 for even a small one. So if they put things into it in march that's five months or about $600-1000.
