Life's a Show and We All Play Our Parts

I've made up my mind that I won't be going to town this weekend. I don't feel like going, I don't feel like prodding the Merry Gang into showing up, and I'm going to spend the weekend in bed with a John M. Ford story collection. I don't know about the whole gay geeks thing. As usual with my plan I haven't got it thought out. I suppose I wanted to make some friends, foolish me to think that I could get any of them to show up or even to say when they could show up. Fuck it.

Geeks and Gay Men tend to be flakey, doubly so with Gay Geeks, I wouldn't neccesarily write them all off if I were you but I understand your frustration... It seems more and more these days people don't want to make any form of commitment to anything of any sort... Every geeky and/or gay group that I belong to has a complete disinterest in organization, responsibilty, leadership, and regularity. Not only that but trying to formalize anything by injecting a little of the above mentioned into a group tends to just make people completely dissapear... Its all very confusing considering how often I hear people complain in the groups that I hang out with about things that can only be fixed with such things..
