It sounds reasonable to me too. We stayed in an apartment long after most of our other friends bought condos or townhomes. Why? Well, we didn't want a condo or townhome- we wanted a home. Yes, ours is a little more broken down than I would like, and I sometimes miss the comfort of having landlords, but I just couldn't understand that "this is a stepping stone to the house of our dreams" motivation. I HATE moving, and didn't want just a stepping stone.

Be true to what you want, and what makes you comfrtable. Tht's all I can say.
